OVERVIEW
This training is for both males and females with acceptance by audition only.
The course is fully accredited with the Victorian Qualifications Authority (VQA),
Austudy/Abstudy Youth Allowance approved and transport concessions are
available to registered Diploma students from Australian and New Zealand.
With CRICOS registration all overseas students are welcome.
The training is designed to provide students with the strongest possible technical, performance and personal preparation for life in the profession.
 
COURSE CONTENT
The course involves more than 25 subjects including classes in:
Classical Ballet, Pointe, Mime, Repertoire, Solo Repertoire, Coaching, Pas de Deux, Jazz, Music Theatre, Character, Contemporary, and Drama as well as theory classes in Anatomy, Dance History, Diet and Nutrition, Make-up and Pilates.
Students must pass all core units, or have RPL (recognition of prior learning) for successful completion of the course.
All classes incorporate safe dance techniques with the emphasis on injury prevention. Regular performances throughout the year, as well as our annual production, provide valuable stage experience. A separate more detailed brochure for this course is available on request.
 
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All participating students should be of Intermediate Exam standard of the Royal Academy of Dancing, or equivalent, and have completed Year 10 (or equivalent) secondary schooling and be a minimum of 15 years old.
International students must have basic written and oral communication skills in the English Language. A result of 5.5 in IELTS - English Language Test (or equivalent) is required.
Video auditions are available for overseas applicants.

All candidates will be required to present a medical certificate stating their physical suitability to the course.
